What we collect depends on how you use the site:

• Browsing the site: anonymous usage data through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. No account required.
• Email subscriptions: your email address (and optionally your trade and team size). See Email Subscriptions below.
• Chrome extension: only a local timestamp stored in your browser. See the Chrome Extension section below.

Email Subscriptions

When you subscribe to our newsletter — through the email capture form on templates, reviews, comparisons, or the site footer — here is what we collect and how we use it:

• Fields collected: email address (required). First name, trade, and team size are optional and used only for segmentation.
• Purpose: estimating tips, software pricing updates, and new review notifications. Typically one email per month.
• Service provider: ConvertKit processes subscriptions on our behalf. See ConvertKit's privacy policy.
• Unsubscribe: every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email contact@estimatorsuite.com.
• Data retention: we keep your subscription data until you unsubscribe.
• No selling or sharing: we never sell your email or share it with third parties for marketing.

Affiliate Links

When you click an affiliate link on our site, the destination website may set cookies to track referrals. These cookies are governed by the destination site's privacy policy, not ours.

Affiliate Disclosure

EstimatorSuite participates in affiliate programs with the following software vendors. When you click a link from our site and sign up for a paid plan, we may earn a referral commission at no additional cost to you.

Reviews of BuilderTrend, PlanSwift, and Sage Estimating do not use affiliate links. We publish these reviews because contractors ask about them — not because we earn commissions.

Affiliate relationships never affect our ratings or rankings. A lower-rated tool earns the same commission as a top pick. Our testing methodology and scoring criteria are published on our About page.

Third-Party Advertising

EstimatorSuite may display advertising served by third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense. These companies may use cookies (such as Google's advertising cookies) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings or your browser's cookie settings.

Chrome Extension (EstimatorSuite Companion)

The EstimatorSuite Companion Chrome extension uses the chrome.storage.local API exclusively to store a timestamp when you dismiss a rating card on a vendor site. This prevents the card from reappearing for 24 hours. The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or tracking information. No data is sent to EstimatorSuite or any third-party server.
